The Manitoba Advocate for Children and Youth exists to ensure children and youth in Manitoba have a voice. Mandated by the province, MACY promotes children's rights and supports and advises children on their rights. It also investigates public services and makes formal recommendations on how to improve services that impact children and youth.
While its work is so crucial, there still existed a need to communicate its purpose efficiently and effectively to both children and adults. To achieve this, MACY turned to us for help.
Having already worked with MACY on a number of projects, we had a good understanding of the objective and proposed creating two animated explainer videos, one focused on children and another intended for adults. Like any good explainer video, the videos we created for MACY needed to succinctly explain what the organization does and why they do it.
As full-service productions, we completed every stage including scripting, illustrating, animating and more. When it came time to record the voice overs, we worked with MACY's Youth Ambassador Advisory Squad to have two youth members record the script in our studio.
The videos were released across MACY's social media channels and will greet visitors on their new website.
